Dr. McHugh is a certified specialist in orthodontics with a practice limited to orthodontics. She has always been passionate about orthodontics, and her focus is to make her patient's orthodontic care a positive and rewarding experience. Dr. McHugh graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She continued her studies at the University of Toronto to graduate with honours as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. McHugh then moved to New York City to pursue a specialty graduate program at New York University and to receive a Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. 

 

Dr. McHugh understands the importance of continuing education to stay current on the most up-to-date and technologically advanced treatments in orthodontics. She spends a significant amount of time taking courses, attending study clubs, conferences, and continuing education seminars.

Outside the Office 

Dr. McHugh grew up in Lakeshore, Ontario and has worked full time in Chatham since becoming an orthodontist. She is fluent in french, having attended french elementary and secondary school. Dr. McHugh and her husband are blessed to have 3 sons, Liam, Owen and Logan and their pet tortoise Flash. Outside the office, Dr. McHugh enjoys travelling, photography, cheering on her sons on the soccer fields and most of all spending lots of quality time with her family.
