Early Treatment
We begin seeing children as young as 7 for complimentary New Patient Exams. At this age, we’re looking to guide healthy development and prevent future problems. Most children at this age will not need treatment and will be placed in our no charge Smile Pathway where we can monitor their growth and development. These visits will be every 9–12 months at no charge. These check-ins help us track tooth eruption, jaw development, and bite alignment.
If early issues are spotted, such as crossbites, jaw asymmetries, or crowding, Phase I treatment may be recommended. This type of early intervention can create space for incoming teeth, guide jaw growth, and reduce the need for more complex treatment later on.

Invisalign
Want to straighten your teeth without brackets and wires? Invisalign might be the right fit for you. These custom-made, nearly invisible trays gently shift your teeth into place, offering a discreet and flexible alternative to traditional braces.
You can remove the trays when eating, brushing, or for special occasions, making them a convenient choice for many lifestyles. Each set is typically worn 22h/day for 1-2 weeks, keeping your treatment on track and your progress moving forward.

How to take care of your retainer:

Remove it when eating or brushing, and store it safely in its case

Digital Scanning and 3D Printing
At Chatham Orthodontics, we use the latest digital scanning and 3D printing technology to make your orthodontic experience faster, more precise, and a whole lot more comfortable.
For digital scanning, we use a small handheld scanner to capture a complete 3D model of your teeth and bite in real time. These scans give us incredibly accurate detail, helping us design custom treatment plans and create orthodontic appliances with greater precision—right from the start.
Once we have your scan, we can 3D print models of your teeth, which allows us to plan and deliver your care with the highest level of accuracy and efficiency.
Although 3D scanning is our preferred method, sometimes dental impressions may be needed during treatment. These are also much easier than traditional impressions as they set fast and come in many flavours.
